VFI and Baseline Ventures to jointly hold Indian Volley League

Chennai: The Executive Committee of Volleyball Federation of India has appointed the core committee to look into all the offers pertaining to conducting the Indian Volleyball League, a professional league in India which will attract the top Domestic and International players to participate in the league.

This league will have The Men’s and Women’s League and also Indian Beach Volleyball League (IBVL). The core committee met on 22nd February, 2016 and gone through all the offers and proposals of various firms and accepted the offer from M/s Baseline Ventures India Pvt Ltd to conduct the IVL and IBVL for the next 10 years.

The main aim of the federation will be to promote the sport of Volleyball, look after the Interest of players with the involvement of professional franchises and ensure the successful conduct of the leagues.

Apart from the member of the core committee, most of the Office bearers and Members of Affiliated state/units were also present in this meeting where the decision was taken to jointly partner with Baseline to conduct IVL and IBVL.
