  • Sardar became the youngest player to captain the Indian team in 2008 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

Biography

One of the experienced hands in the side, a captain until he handed over charge to Sreejish for the Rio Olympics. Came in as India player in the junior side or 2003-04, during a tour of Poland. In 2006 he came into the senior side against Pakistan.

 

He has played in several international tourneys from 2007,including Asia Cup, Asian Games, Champions Challenge and Commonwealth games not to forget the World league. In 2010 he had the honour of being named in the 18-member FIH all star team. His expertise saw him getting selected for Belgian league and the Dutch league.
