Biography

Known for his drag flicks, Raghunath is a full back and been instrumental in many a India win. Made his debut for India in the 2003 sub-junior Asia Cup in Dhaka. India won there. He came into the senior side in 2005 as a replacement for Sandeep Singh in the bi-lateral series against Pakistan.

 

He was part of the Indian side that won the bronze in the Aslan Shah tournament in 2007 and silver in 2008, gold in 2007 Asia Cup and silver in 2013. With six goals in that 2013 edition he also earned the 'best player of tournament'award. Raghunath was also a member of the gold medal winning team at Incheon Asian Games.
