Important Note:-

  1. All the Indian athletes should achieve their performances in the events recognized by IAAF to secure the ticket for Olympics.
  2. Any Athlete can go to the Olympics only if the athlete is approved by Athletic Federation of India (AFI).
  3. IAAF will send 50 percentage of athletes using their ranking system and other 50 percentage by entry standards

IAAF World Rankings will crucial for our athletes, as the entry standard set by IAAF is quite difficult for the athletes to reach it. AFI along with the athletes and coaches should be very careful in selecting the competitions as it will play an important role in getting the places for Olympics. There is a high probability of AFI getting their first medal, if all the plans come together in Olympics
