A vastly experienced player with some unique records. She has so far 100 medals, national and international put together. Besides she has several firsts from being the most participated player in world championship (15) to the most number of times in the national final (singles, team, doubles and mixed doubles) (46) ad most commonwealth medals won by an Indian player (17). In fact she has proven he value to Indian table tennis with her exploits for over14 years.


She represented India in the 2004 Olympics, won a bronze in the team event in the 2006 Commonwealth GamesAt the New Delhi Commonwealth Games, she won a silver in team event and a bronze in doubles. But the hallmark was the way she helped Indian women to historic gold in the world championship held in Malaysia early this year. India was playing a higher ranked Serbia in the semi-final and was 0-2 down but clawed back to make it 2-2 and it was left to Mouma to win the decider and she did it.


A charged up India then beat Luxembourg in the final.This win has helped India to qualify ro the Champtions division in the 2018 Championship, only the second time. Mouma was there when India achieved this last time in 2004. The talented Indian earned the berth to Rio after winning the final round in Stage 2 of the Asian Olympic qualification in Hong Kong.
