Kidambi, Prannoy reaches Semi-final of French Open

Paris, Oct 27 : It was a good day for Indian Shuttlers in French Open as all of the 3 remaining Indians in the tournament won their match and entered the semi-final.

H.S.Prannoy defeated Hyeok Jin Jeon 21-16 21-16 in an easy encounter. Prannoy was looking in good touch throughout the match and it didn’t take him much to defeat Hyeok.

Hyeok Defeated Prannoy in Canada Open but this time he didn’t have answers to Prannoy smashes.

In another match Srikanth Kidambi defeated Yuqi Shi of China 8-21 21-19 21-9. Srikanth looked off colour in first set and Shi won the set by 21-8 but in the next set Srikanth fought well and won the set closely 21-19.

Third set was all about Srikanth class and Yuqi was found clueless and Srikanth ensured a semi-final berth by winning the set 21-9.

Srikanth will now be facing his country-mate Prannoy in Semi-final and will be hoping for back to back finals.

Earlier in the day P.v.sindhu also reached the semi-final by defeating Chen Y of China.

Sindhu now faces Yamaguchi who defeated Saina in earlier round.
