Indian Athletes Qualified for 2020 Olympics (Till Now)

1. Irfan K.T (Athletics)
 
 National record holder Irfan K.T (20 km Race Walk) qualified for the 2020 Olympics by clocking a time of 1:20.57 in the Asian Race Walking Championship held at Nomi, Japan. He produced a brilliant performance to go under the Olympic Qualifying time of 1:21.00. In addition to it, he finished fourth in that event and become the first person from athletics to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. 
 
Prediction- Irfan has a very good chance of finishing inside the top 10 in 20 km Race Walk at the upcoming Olympics.
 
2. Anjum Moudgil and Apurvi Chandela (Shooting)
 
Anjum Moudgil and Apurvi Chandela (10m Air Rifle) secured a place in the 2020 Olympics by getting a Silver Medal and fourth position in ISSF World Shooting Championship 2018. Anjum Moudgil performed exceptionally well to win a Silver medal for the first time in her career. Apurvi Chandela also gave her best shot to finish fourth and got the second quota place for India.
 
Anjum shot 628.7 in the qualification round while Aprurvi shot 627.5 to qualify for the finals in the event. They were the first two shooters from India to qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
 
Prediction- Anjum or Apurvi has a very good chance of getting a medal for India if they are able to remain calm under high-pressure situations in the Olympics.
 
3. Saurabh Choudhary (Shooting)
 
16-year-old Saurabh (10m Air Pistol) won gold in ISSF World Cup to secure a place in the Tokyo Olympics. 2018 Youth Olympics Gold Medallist shot a score of 587 in the qualification round to qualify for the finals. Saurabh took his game to the next level and obtained 245.0 in finals to win a quota place for himself and the country.
 
Prediction- Saurabh has produced unbelievable performances both at the junior and senior competitions. Going by his current form, he will surely win a medal for the country at his first Olympic Games.
 
 
4.Divyansh Singh Panwar (Shooting)
 
16 Year Old Divyansh Singh Panwar (10m Air Rifle) won a place in the 2020 Olympics by winning his first Silver medal in an ISSF World Cup competition held in Beijing, China. Divyansh shot exceptionally well to get a score of 249.7 in the finals and clinch the Silver Medal. He scored 629.2 in the qualification rounds to qualify for the finals in the third position. In addition to it, Divyansh won the gold in 10m Mixed Team event with Anjum Moudgil fighting off tough competition from Chinese Shooters.
 
Prediction:- Teenage athlete Divyansh has to perform consistently to get the confidence required for the Olympics. If he is able to do it, he has a very good chance of getting a medal for India in the Tokyo Olympics.
       
 
5. Abhishek Verma (Shooting)
 
Asian Games Bronze Medallist Abhishek (10m Air Pistol) won his maiden gold in ISSF World Cup to secure a place in the Tokyo Olympics. Asian Shooting Championship Silver Medallist shot a score of 585 in the qualification round to qualify for the finals. Abhishek took his game to the next level and scored 242.7 in finals to win the second quota place for himself and the country in this event.
 
Prediction:- Abhishek Verma has a very good track record in every final he has competed till now and he can win a medal for India in the Olympics if he is able to qualify for the finals.
 
6.Rahi Sarnobat (Shooting)
Asian Games Gold Medallist Rahi Sarnobat(25m Pistol Women) won the gold medal in ISSF World Cup held at Munich, Germany to book a berth for the Tokyo Olympics. 2018 Arjuna Award Winner shot a score of 586 to end the qualification stage in fourth place and qualify for the finals. Rahi was in top-notch form at the finals to shoot a score of 37 and win the sixth quota place for India.
 
Prediction:- Rahi Sarnobat has a very good track record in every final she has competed till now and she can definitely win a medal for India in the Olympics if she is able to qualify for the finals.
 
7. Manu Bhaker (Shooting)
 
Youth Olympic Gold Medallist Manu Bhaker (10m Air Pistol) secured a place in the 2020 Olympics by finishing fourth in the ISSF World Cup competition held in Munich, Germany. Manu Bhaker shot brilliantly to get a score of 201.0 in the finals and clinch the seventh quota place for India at the 2020 Olympics. She scored 582 in the qualification rounds to qualify for the finals in the third position. In addition to it, Manu won the gold in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event with Saurabh Chaudhary by destroying the Ukraine Shooters in Finals.
 
Prediction:- 17 Year Old Manu can definitely win a medal for India if she is able to avoid the expectations and shoot to her maximum potential at 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 
 
8. Sanjeev Rajput (Shooting)
 
Experienced Shooter Sanjeev Rajput (50m Rifle Three Positions) got himself into the bus for Tokyo Olympics by winning a Silver Medal in the ISSF World Cup Competition held at Rio De Janerio, Brazil. Sanjeev came into form at the right moment and shot the best scores of his career to get a well-earned ticket for India. He scored 1181 in Qualification Rounds and used his experience very well to shoot 462 to go for 2020.
 
Prediction:-  Sanjeev can get a medal for India only if he can repeat the performance which got him into the plane for Olympics.
 
9. Yashaswini Deswal (Shooting)
 
16-year-old Yashaswini Deswal surprised the entire shooting fraternity by qualifying for 2020 in her first senior ISSF World Cup held at Rio de Janerio Brazil. Yashaswini won the gold medal by handling pressure in such a big stage. She shot 582 to get into the finals and scored 236.7 to wrap gold medal around her neck to make India Proud at a big stage.
 
Prediction:- Yashaswini Deswal have to shoot well to get into finals of Olympics, then she has a chance of winning a medal for the country.
 
10. Indian Archery Team (Men’s Recurve)
 
Indian recurve team of Atanu Das, Pravin Ramesh Jadhav, and Tarundeep Rai hit the middle of targets with their bows to win a ticket for Tokyo Olympics. Team supported each other very well throughout the tournament to win a Silver Medal at World Archery Championship. Archery team got one spot for Team and three spots for Individual by their superlative performance.
 
Prediction:- Team have to handle the pressure at the top stage and go a notch above their performance at the championship to stand a chance to get a medal for the Country. 
 
11. Ravi Kumar Dahiya (Wrestling)
 
Freestyle Wrestler Ravi Kumar gave a shocking surprise to wrestling fans by winning a Bronze at World Championship stage and getting a berth for Olympics. Ravi defeated top-class wrestlers in 57kg weight category to emerge as one of upcoming talents for India. 
 
Prediction:- Ravi has to come up with a lot of new skills and techniques if he has to have any chance of winning a medal for India. Top Wrestlers could have found his style, so it is necessary for him to implement the mentioned things to get his first medal at dream stage.
 
 
12.Deepak Punia (Wrestling)
 
World Junior Medallist entered the arena of World Championship and showed his amazing wrestling skills to defeat top-level wrestlers to get into Olympics. Young Wrestler was able to remain calm under pressure situations to win a Silver Medal at the World stage in 81 kg category.
 
Prediction:- Deepak will have a first opportunity to participate in Olympics and he has to show improved performance at Olympics to get a medal at a very young age for India.
 
13. Vinesh Phogat (Wrestling)
 
Vinesh fought her way to win a Bronze Medal at World Championship to get a medal for country and qualify for the second Olympics in a row. After the quarterfinal loss at the 2016 Olympics, Vinesh has improved skills to win medals at various international level competitions. 
 
Prediction:- Vinesh is expected to win a medal for India at Olympics and has to handle a lot of tough competitors in 53kg  to win her first medal for the country. She has a very good chance of winning a medal for India.
 
14.Bajrang Punia (Wrestling)
 
World No 2 Bajrang Punia continued his good form to win the bronze medal at World Championship. Bajrang was expected to win a gold medal for India but ended up with bronze to qualify for the Olympics. Star Wrestler has to accept the defeat and get back to the supreme form to win international events.
 
Prediction:- Bajrang is expected to get a gold medal for India at Tokyo Olympics. Wrestler just has to keep his form and focus at the highest level to become First Indian Wrestler to win a Gold Medal for India.
 
15. Avinash Sable (Athletics)
 
Avinash Sable clocked a national record time of 8:21.37 in 3000m Steeplechase at World Athletics Championships to qualify for his first Olympics.  National Record Holder finished a credible 13th in finals of the World Athletics Championship held at Doha, Qatar. Avinash has improved leaps and bounds to get a ticket for Olympics.
 
Prediction:- Avinash has to improve his timings to get into finals but it will very difficult for him to have a shot at a medal.
 
16. Mixed Relay Team (Athletics)
 
Indian Mixed Relay quarter of Muhammed Anas, V.K.Vismay, Jisna Mathew and Noah Nirmal Tom clocked 3:15.77 to finish seventh in finals of World Athletics Championship and book a ticket for Tokyo Olympics. Team ran their heart out to clinch a spot for India in Tokyo Olympics.
 
Prediction:- Mixed Relay team can win a medal, if they are able to put all their top runners for the race. They have a good chance of getting first medal in Athletics for India
