The girls team event in the world junior squash championship begins on Monday

Kuala Lumpur: The world junior squash championship enters the second phase on Monday with the Girls team event getting underway.

Totally 18 teams are taking part and they have been placed in four Groups for the initial group-league.. India is seeded six and in Group C along with Hong Kong (3), New Zealand (11), Ireland (13) and Chinese Taipei (18). Ideally as the top two seeds in the Group, Hong Kong and India should qualify for the knock-out phase.

Indian team comprises of Sanya Vats, Yoshna Singh, Aishwarya Khubchandani and Ananya Dabke.

Meanwhile, Veer Chotrani the lone Indian to have entered the boys'quarterfinal phase in the Individual competitions held earlier, finished 5th overall.
