Biography

Three time Olympian having taken part in Athens 200, Beijing 2008 and London 2012 and a former world number one in trap shooting. It was at the 2006 ISSF world championship that he was crowned world champion, the first Indian to win this honour in shotgun trap shooting. Silver medals at the 1998, 2002 and 2006 Asian Games adorn his career aside from the 1998 Commonwealth Games gold.

 

In 2010 he won the Commonwealth shooting championshipand followed that with a gold medal at the world cup in Mexico. In 2014 also he won a gold medal in the world cup held in Tucson, USA. Manavjit got into the Indian team on the basis of his consistent scores in the trials.
