Biography

Kynan's father was the national shooting champion in 2008 in shotgun Trap event. Now Kynan hopes to further that record. A keen sportsman, he took to shooting sport in 2003 and five years later reaped a rich award of medals and achivements gold medal in the junior trap event in the nationals, gold medal in the trap in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, gold medal again in junior trap in the nationals and silver medal in the Asian championship in Jaipur.

 

In January this year, Kynan got himself a birthday present by securing a quota place for Rio by finishing fourth in the Asian qualifying meet in New Delhi. He is the youngest male shooter and with the kind of consistency he has shown, people look to him to emulate the prowess of Rajavardhan Singh Rathore.
